Hello L O S A N G E L E S: Guess Who's Back...For Good!!!

Ok yeah so its been two months since I boarded a one way flight to L.A., and I haven't looked back since. Let's just say things didn't go exactly as planned, but do they ever?! After a few weeks of...I'll just call it..."unsettled-ness", I finally scored the perfect apartment in a very safe, convenient location and I couldn't be happier.

When things weren't going the I way I'd imagined, I started to worry and panic a little. After about a week and a half of worrying and complaining about my situation, I had to take a step back and remind myself that I hadn't come this far to panic, and to continue to have faith which is what got me here. Although living with a relative wasn't originally part of my plan, I was reminded to never underestimate the value of patience and power of prayer. God will lead you to exactly where He wants you. I wasn't feeling it at the time, but I'm very grateful my aunt offered me a place to live. It could have been far worse, shoutout to Aunt Mary!

Did I mention how much I'm in love with L.A.? I think I've met my match. The older I get the more my likes and dislikes change. I thought I would be ready to hit the "Hollywood" scene, but not so much. Clubbing in general just isn't my thing anymore. I'm more into submerging myself into culture and doing things to expand my mind, body, and spirit..."stimulate yo mind Craig!" Lol, no but on a serious note, I worked my ass off to get here and will continue to do so until I get to where I want to be. #watchmework

The Way I See It...

I am moving to LA in 31 days to pursue my dreams of becoming a fashion stylist.

I am very aware this will not be a walk in the park, and that I will have to work extremely hard to reach my goals. I've never been afraid of a challenge, nor am I afraid of rejection. I know that when one door closes another one opens. This is not me living in a fantasy dream world, this is me striving to make my dreams my reality. This is not about money or the 'Good Life'. Although I'm not opposed to those things, I am much more concerned with fulfilling my purpose and inspiring others to fulfill theirs as well. God created each of us with a specific assignment in mind and my ultimate goal is to please Him. I have experienced my share of negativity, discouragement, questioning, and hating which was hurtful and frustrating at first because it was coming mostly from family. But, I have learned to ignore all that and use it as ammunition to make me stronger. When I stopped trying to please others and focused only on God and myself, 'the plan' started to reveal itself. It's one of those those things where you don't know exactly where you're headed, but you trust and believe He won't lead you astray... I think is called, Stepping Out On Faith.
